OKAY, today is a big deal for a few reasons:
- a spacecraft captured images of trash on the moon left from 1969
- the largest recorded crocodile in the world was caught in the phillipines
- Canv.as launched publicly!
For those of you that haven’t had the pleasure of playing around on Canvas yet, it’s a clever reinvention of message boards birthed by Small Girls friend and 4chan founder, moot. What sets it apart is that users can edit publicly dumped images in real-time using the tools Canvas provides (color fill, crop etc.) And, yep, like 4chan, users can be anonymous or be a ‘namefag’, but unlike 4chan, Canvas is hyperpositive with beautiful design at its core.
So the image editor is cool but our favorite is the sticker shop(!!) from which stickers can be used to rate published images, pushing them up in the stream.
It’s kind of like having a creative conversation. With virtual stickers. We like.
We support anything that means the Internet will get more pictures.
